What B corp and Nonprofits taught me!
Lessons Learned

B corporations and nonprofit organization differ but they ultimately work towards the same goal.

B Corp is the term used for any for-profit entity that is certified in meeting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance. The B corp certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. It evaluates how your company’s operations and business model impact your workers, community, environment, and customers.

Non profit organizations are most often defined as one that addresses systemic, root causes of social (political, cultural, and economic) inequalities in an effort to alleviate not only those inequalities but also the underlying conditions and circumstances that bring them about. They are the driving force behind awareness campaigns, active volunteerism and organized fundraising.

Further research of case studies brought more information on practices, movements and impact. I learned about how business practices can help non profit organizations. Also, what difference the B corp movement has made and innovative design for social change.

B corporations and nonprofit organization differ but they ultimately can collaborate and support each other in order to make a social impact.
